Knack is a lifeskills app that provides internet free access to hundreds of categorized guides to young adults in both step by step and video form. Knack features an achievements system to keep users motivated in learning, simplifies complicated tasks into digestible tidbits, utilises an advanced search system, and allows users to set personalized goals.
Process
The process of Knack began with concept development, research, and branding. As a part of the branding a logo was developed, as well as a mascot; Mak the Knack Yak. Mak
Then low fidelity, mid fidelity, and high fidelity wireframes were developed determining the core structure, functionality, and aesthetic of the app.
Final Result
The final result of Knack is a clean, functional, and fun app design with cohesive branding.
In addition to the app and branding, a promotional head tracking animation was made of the mascot Mak using the software Rive! Check it out below.
